Baby Week Atlas is run by XSTIR LLC. You can reach us at hello@babyweekatlas.com.

There are no accounts, sign-ups or ads on this site. It does use the outside services listed here, and what happens on a pregnancy site can be sensitive, so here is exactly what they do.

Your choice about Google Analytics

Google Analytics is off unless you accept it. Declining doesn’t change anything else on the site, and we ask again after about 6 months.

What stays in your browser

The due date calculator saves the dates you enter in your browser’s own storage, so they’re still there next time. They aren’t sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them. Your analytics choice is saved the same way.

Google Analytics, if you accept

It shows us which pages are read and how people find them. It collects the pages you view, how long you stay, the site you came from, your approximate location, and your device and browser. Two cookies, _ga and _ga_…, hold a random ID that recognises your browser on later visits. They last about 6 months from your last visit, or less in some browsers, and they’re deleted from this site if you later decline.

The page addresses show what you read, for example a pregnancy week or a page about miscarriage, so Google can see that from your browser. That’s why it’s off by default. It never receives the dates you enter in the calculator.

We’ve turned off Google signals and ad personalisation for this site, and we don’t use this data for advertising. Google says Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses. Google may process the data in other countries, including the US. Event data is kept for no more than 14 months. See how Google uses data from sites like this one.

Things that run for every visitor

Cloudflare hosting. Cloudflare delivers this site and protects it from attacks. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to do that. See Cloudflare’s GDPR information.

Cloudflare Web Analytics. This counts visits and measures how quickly pages load. It records things like the page viewed, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type. Cloudflare says it doesn’t use cookies or fingerprinting to do this. We only see totals. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Google Fonts. The site’s fonts load from Google, so your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address, as it does for any file it fetches. No Google Analytics cookie is involved. See Google Fonts’ privacy information.

Why we’re allowed to do this

For Google Analytics, the legal basis is your consent. For hosting, security, visit counts and fonts, it’s our legitimate interest in running a working, reasonably fast site and understanding how much it’s used.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask for a copy of your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it’s used. We don’t hold accounts or anything else that identifies you, so we may not be able to link any data to you. To ask, email us. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In the EU you can complain to your national data protection authority.
